The Tunisian Interventional Radiology Association (TIRA) is a professional medical organization dedicated to the promotion and development of the practice of interventional radiology.
Interventional radiologists have been the pioneers of minimally invasive, image-guided therapeutic interventions for the management of diseases. This specialty was founded in the early 1960s. The first interventional radiology procedures were performed in the late 1960s in Tunisia.
TIRA was created in 2017 with the aim of creating a forum where interventional radiologists could share their experience and support education and training in interventional radiology.
